Verification and the threshold

rawquotes will not name a theme on too little evidence. Below 10 substantive open answers in the selected period, the Insights tab refuses to count at all — it tells you how many answers it has, how many it needs, and how many are missing, instead of guessing at a conclusion it can't back up with quotes.

If a narrower date range is what pushed a survey below the threshold, the screen offers to widen it back to the account's default window, or — when an earlier range would already clear the threshold — to jump straight to it. You can also read the raw answers directly while you wait for more to come in.

Banners you may see above the themes

• Themes may no longer cover recent answers. A growing share of recent answers aren't matching any existing theme. Recompute to regroup everything and pick up what's changed.
• Today's recount did not finish. The last attempt to recompute failed, so what you're looking at is the result from an earlier, successful run — still your respondents' own counts and quotes, just not refreshed today. Try again to retry it.
• Ready to count your first insights. The survey has cleared the threshold but has never been computed — recompute once to name its first themes.
• Counted — nothing repeated. A count did run, honestly, and no answer repeated into a theme. This is a real result, not a failure to compute.

Recomputing by hand

Recompute, above the theme list, regroups every answer in the selected period from scratch. Use it after a burst of new responses, or after one of the banners above suggests the current grouping is stale. Counts themselves are always taken live over the period you're looking at; recomputing is what can change which theme an answer belongs to, or rename a theme outright.
